Welcome, this is a blog created to foster peer learning in music analysis beyond the classroom. Heard a BBC radio interview with Anthony Horowitz yesterday. On the influence of teachers on youngsters, he said something like "A bad teacher spoils your day, a good teacher makes your life." Teaching music theory/analysis should ideally make a musician.
